About Carla

Me and my coffee

Thanks for visiting! I hope i was able to help you with the articles herein. By the way, I’m Carla Abanes, working as a full time Senior SQL Database Administrator here in Singapore for an established financial trading firm.

I have a MCITP certification for SQL Server 2008. I’ve recently started to study for upgrading my certification to MCSA for SQL Server 2012. I setup this blog site to serve as my reviewer and a ready online source. I figure this could also help you study if you have plans to upgrade and take certification exams and it’s also my share of  giving back to the SQL DBA community. You may visit my LinkedIn profile at http://sg.linkedin.com/in/carlaabanes so we can connect.

I love black coffee and always have it by my side at the office and I even camp out at Starbucks for hours to study or to blog! So that explains the site title 🙂

I also run, join 5K and 10K races here in Singapore. I love to travel and enjoy white sand beaches but this time with a cosmopolitan 🙂

I welcome suggestions and comments you may have, I have lots of room for improvement! Or you may use my contact form below, yey let’s talk more!
